Closure of A167 between Church Mouse and Plawsworth Red Lion - 8 & 9 October

The southbound lanes of the A167 will be closed between Church Mouse and Plawsworth Red Lion roundabouts from 7pm on Saturday 8 until 7pm on Sunday 9 October.

  • During this time, Angel 21 will operate from Chester-le-Street southbound to Church Mouse then turn right via the un-named road to Waldridge roundabout, then left to Waldridge Village, Waldridge Fell, Edmondsley to Daisy Hill then Cross Lane and Nettlesworth to Plawsworth (serve stop on hill down towards Red Lion), then normal route towards Pity Me. Chester-le-Street bound journeys are unaffected.

  • Whey Aye Five-0 50/50A towards Durham will omit the un-named road from Waldridge to The Church Mouse and divert via Waldridge Village, Waldridge Fell, Edmondsley to Daisy Hill then Cross Lane and Nettlesworth to Plawsworth (serve stop on hill down towards Red Lion), then normal route towards Pity Me. Chester-le-Street bound journeys are unaffected.
