Closure of Gateshead High Street from 17 October

To enable the current major works in Gateshead Town Centre to move forward, a full closure of Gateshead High Street will take place from 9am on Monday 17 October for two weeks.

During this closure, all buses that run towards Gateshead Interchange via High Street (1, 1A, 27, 56, 57, 58, Q1 and Q2) will run via High West Street and will serve the bus stop at Gateshead Civic Centre towards the Interchange, prior to the junction with Regent Street.

Gateshead High Street and Jackson Street will thus be totally unserved in either direction for this period of the works.
