Roadworks and diversions affecting Go North East buses

Service 9 at Truro Avenue in Murton from 23 September until January

The works at Truro Avenue at Murton will now take place from Monday 23 September until approximately mid-January 2020.

For the remainder of this year, service 9 will operate normal route to Mann Crescent then at the bend, will divert left at the cream houses to Treen Crescent and Tregoney Avenue and right to normal route at Penryn Avenue.

Buses will be unable to serve stops on Truro Avenue and Bude Square, please use either Mann Crescent or Penryn Avenue stops.

Service 74 at Stamfordham Road in Newcastle from 21 October 2019 until August 2020

Due to Stamfordham Road being closed westbound ONLY towards Hexham, service 74 is unable to serve stops on Stamfordham Road towards Hexham at Callerton, Westerhope Magenta Crescent, Jingling Gate, Golf Course, Naworth Drive, Kensington Villas, Barclays Bank, Methodist Church or Denton Way.

Customers should use stops at Western by-pass/Stamfordham Road.

Service 93 at Neilson Road in Gateshead until 12 November

Neilson Road (Gateshead Stadium) is still closed for roadworks due to a gas leak. Service diverted via Tyne Road Main Road and Green Lane. 

No Service 93 in the Old Fold. Please board buses at stop on the Felling by-pass at the junction of Green Lane. 

Services 10 and 10B in Prudhoe from 7 November until 13 November from 8pm until 6am

  • 10A will run to normal route. Please use service 10A for Blaydon, Ryton or Crawcrook.
  • 10B will run normal route until Crawcrook where the service will terminate. The last stop will be the stop immediately after the crossroads before the Petrol Station and after the club. Please use service 10B for travel to Blaydon, Ryton or Crawcrook Main Street.
  • 10 towards Hexham will run Newcastle to TGI Fridays as normal, then divert via Scotswood Bridge, A1, A69 and A68 to rejoin the route at Riding Mill. Customers wishing to travel from Newcastle to Prudhoe, Mickley or Stocksfield will need to travel to Riding Mill then catch the shuttle bus (link below) from there back towards Prudhoe.
  • 10 towards Newcastle will run Hexham to Riding Mill as normal, then divert via A68, A69, A1 and Scotswood Bridge to rejoin the route at TGI Fridays. Customers travelling from Hexham to Stocksfield, Mickley or Prudhoe will need to get off at Riding Mill and use the shuttle bus (link below) to complete the journey.
