Roadworks and diversions affecting Go North East buses

Service 9 at Truro Avenue in Murton from 23 September and 30 April

Works are in place at Truro Avenue in Murton until the end of April, between 7.30am and 5pm.

Service 9 will run normal route to Mann Crescent then will divert left at the cream houses to Treen Crescent and Tegoney Avenue and right to normal route at Penryn Avenue.

Buses will be unable to serve stops on Truro Avenue and Bude Square. There will be a temporary stop approximately half way down Tregoney Avenue.

Services 6, 16, 16A and X30 from 16 until 20 February

The Blackett Street / North Road junction in Catchgate will be closed from 7am until 7pm between Sunday 16 and Thursday 20 February.

Service 6, 16 and 16A will not serve the northern end of Catchgate or Harelaw. Buses will operate via normal route to Dipton, serving all stops, then operate non-stop to Catchgate, diverting via Hamsterley Gardens to resume normal route at Annfield Plain.

Service 16 and 16A will operate normal route to Flint Hill, then non-stop via White-le-Head, Tantobie and Tanfield to Stanley Bus Station. Customers travelling from Harelaw or Catchgate should catch the shuttle bus to connect with service 16 at Flint Hill. Customers wishing to travel from Annfield Plain, New Kyo or Oxhill should use services 6, 32, 78, 78A and X30 to Stanley Bus Station and change to service 16 there.

Service X30 will operate normal route to Blackett Street and turn right to Hamsterley Gardens then normal route from Annfield Plain. 

CityLink 57 at Beacon Lough in Gateshead on 16 February

Service 57 will be unable to serve the bus stops between Queen Elizabeth Avenue and Whitehill Drive due to works on Sunday 16 February. Please catch your bus from the stop at Queen Elizabeth Avenue or Whitehill Drive.

Service 35A at Herrington Burn on 16 February

On Sunday 16 February, between 8am and 6pm, service 35A will be unable to serve Herrington Road or Philadelphia Lane due to resurfacing on Herrington Road.

Please use service X1 to connect with service 35A at Houghton-le-Spring.

X-lines X21 in Bishop Auckland from 17 until 19 April

Bishop Auckland Food Festival takes place over the weekend of Friday 17 to Sunday 19 April. Market Place and North Bondgate will be closed to all traffic from 5am on Friday 17 until 9pm on Sunday 19 April. 

X-lines X21 buses will be unable to serve Market Place or North Bondgate during this time. Pllease catch your bus from the bus station.
