Bus and Bollywood fun was had at free event

Newcastle residents had a great time at our fun-packed, free, Family Fun Day at Westgate Road Community College at the weekend.

Local people joined Go North East to drive buses, play on the bouncy castle and inflatables and even join in with some Bollywood dancing and face painting.

The event was completely free and visitors could try driving a bus around a challenge course.

Recruitment manager at Go North East, Keith Robertson said: “We put on these free events because we’re very much a people business and we love being at the heart of communities across the North East.

“As a result of people having a go at driving a bus, we have had quite a few job applications submitted too, which was an added bonus.”
