Bus services in and around Sunderland on SAFC's Wembley day - 21 May

As tens of thousands of Sunderland fans head to Wembley this Saturday (21 May) for the League One Play-Off Final, Go North East is expecting to carry considerably lower numbers of passengers across Wearside.

To help with this and the current driver shortage, Go North East is making some tweaks to local timetables to help customers plan with more dependable journeys.

Timetables will be revised on a small number of services for the day, with some running to enhanced Sunday timetables, including additional morning and evening journeys to help workers, shoppers, and those staying locally to watch the match.
