Closure of Holmeside in Sunderland from 26 September

Holmeside will be closed to eastbound traffic from Monday 26 September until mid-November 2016. The closure is to allow works to be carried out by BT followed by remaining works in connection with the ongoing highway improvement scheme.

As with previous eastbound closures, all eastbound journeys on Services 9, 20/20A, 35/35A, 36, 56, 135, X20 & X36 towards Fawcett Street will divert via Stockton Road, Park Road and Burdon Road.

Services 2/2A, 33 and 39 will also divert via Stockton Road, serving a temporary southbound stop on Stockton Road, then via Park Road, Burdon Road and Borough Road to reach Toward Road.
