Service changes in North Tyneside from 22 March

From Sunday 22 March 2020, we'll be making changes to some of our services in North Tyneside.


Little Coasters 11

  • Most journeys will be retimed by a few minutes.
  • Evening and Sunday journeys will no longer be operated by Go North East, following a change in contract by Nexus however pre-purchased Go North East tickets will be valid on Nexus buses at these times.

Service 19

  • There will be some changes to peak time journeys.
  • There will be additional weekday evening journeys to Cramlington.
  • Evening and Sunday journeys between North Shields and Northumberland Park will no longer be operated by Go North East, following a change in contract by Nexus, however pre-purchased Go North East tickets will be valid on Nexus buses at these times.

Little Coasters 40 & 41

  • Little Coasters 40 and 41 will be replaced by a new service 41, which will operate up to every 15 minutes from Hadrian Park, via High Farm to Wallsend.
  • Every 30 minutes the service will continue on to Howdon, Coniston Road and Holy Cross.
  • Evening and Sunday journeys will no longer be operated by Go North East, following a change in contract by Nexus, however pre-purchased Go North East tickets will be valid on Nexus buses at these times.

Little Coasters 42 & 42A

  • Little Coasters 42 will now only operate between Cramlington, Killingworth, Benton Asda and Wallsend only, to better meet the level of demand.
  • Little Coasters 42A will now run between Kingston Park, The Airport, Dinnington, Hazlerigg, Killingworth, Benton Asda, and Wallsend only, and will operate via Four Lane Ends instead of Forest Hall, to offer new travel opportunities.
  • Evening and Sunday journeys on this section of route will no longer be operated by Go North East, following a change in contract by Nexus, however pre-purchased Go North East tickets will be valid on Nexus buses at these times.
  • The section of route between North Shields and Cobalt will be replaced by Nexus service 335, providing links on this section, however this will not be a Go North East service. Passengers from the area around Coniston Road will continue to be able to travel on revised service 41.

Services W1, W1A & W2

  • W1, W1A and W2 will no longer be operated by Go North East, following a change in contracts by Nexus.
