Chester-le-Street Riverside Fireworks – Sunday 4 November

Chester-le-Street Riverside Fireworks returns this year with a circus themed event featuring a spectacular fully choreographed fireworks display accompanied by a musical extravaganza of songs from the hit musical The Greatest Showman.

The event will once again feature a whole host of entertainment for all the family with a funfair, food and refreshments, a fully licensed bar and a kids fancy dress competition.

The event takes place on Sunday 4 November at Riverside Park at Chester-le-Street with gates opening at 4.30pm and the show beginning at 6.30pm. Tickets are available from riversidefireworks.co.uk at £5 and children under 6 go free.

Getting there

Travelling to Riverside Park is easy by bus with the Coast & Country 78/78A routes passing every 30 minutes during Sunday afternoon from Sunderland, Shiney Row, Chester-le-Street Town Centre and Stanley. Buses then run hourly during the evening to take you home.

Riverside Park is also just a 5-10 minute walk from Chester-le-Street Front Street, with frequent buses on the Angel 21 from Newcastle, Gateshead, Low Fell, Birtley and Durham.

Save with a Family Day Ticket – only £10 and covers up to two adults and three children under 16, plus everyone aged 18 and under can travel for just £1 per single journey.

Please note that there must be a minimum of one adult and one child using a Family Day Ticket.
