As tens of thousands of Sunderland fans head to Wembley this Saturday (21 May) for the League One Play-Off Final, Go North East is expecting to carry considerably lower numbers of passengers across Wearside. To celebrate English Tourism Week, Go North East has announced the return of the popular Toon Tour open-top sightseeing bus from Saturday 9 April. The service will run every weekend, bank holiday and during school holidays from Saturday 9 April until Friday 27 May, then daily from Saturday 28 May until Sunday 4 September. It will then return for four further days on 17, 18, 24 and 25 September.
