Pelton Lane road closure from 23 September

From Saturday 23 until Friday 29 September, there will be works at Pelton Lane. 

  • Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 September - between 8am and 8pm there will be temporary traffic signals.
  • Monday 25 until Friday 29 September - between 9am and 3pm there will be a closure between The Falcon and The Plough, with a shuttle bus running between Chester-le-Street and Pelaw Estate. 

Customers who normally board on Pelton Lane towards Stanley should catch the 34 Shuttle bus to Chester-le-Street and catch services 8 or 78 from there. 

Customers normally boarding in Pelaw Estate towards Pelton School or Ouston/Urpeth should also catch the 34 Shuttle to Chester-le-Street and catch services 8 or 78 from there.

The Shuttle Bus will depart from Chester-le-Street South Burns at 0, 20 and 40 mins past each hour, and depart from Conyers Avenue at 8, 28 and 48 mins past each hour.
