£3million investment into new, clean buses for express route between Easington Lane, Washington and Newcastle
Go North East, the region’s largest bus operator, has invested £3million into 13 new, clean, safe and super comfy buses for its express X1 service that runs between Easington Lane and Newcastle, serving Hetton-le-Hole, Houghton-le-Spring, Shiney Row, Washington Galleries, Wrekenton and Gateshead.

The region's largest bus operator, Go North East, has deployed 56 extra buses from today to ensure there is sufficient extra capacity on its network as more schools and workers return and use the region’s buses.

More buses and better value tickets introduced by Go North East with service enhancements from Saturday
From tomorrow (Saturday 5 September), Go North East are introducing a whole host of improvements to its bus services and tickets to make it easier for people to get out and about and to help support local shops, businesses, leisure venues, schools and colleges. There will also be minor changes to a small number of services.

First new registration 70 plate bus hits the road
As the clock ticked over to a new month at 00:01 on Tuesday 1st September, bus operator Go North East put into service what is believed to be the UK’s first 70 plate bus as the new registration mark period started.

Express bus routes between Middlesbrough and Newcastle set for major upgrade
Go North East, the region’s largest bus operator, is set to introduce a major upgrade to its express X9 and X10 routes, that run between Middlesbrough and Newcastle via the A19, serving Stockton, Norton, Billingham, Peterlee, Dalton Park, Heworth and Gateshead.
