X-lines X1 to return to normal from 27 March

Thanks to our ongoing recruitment efforts, we’re happy to confirm that our X-lines X1 service will return to normal from Sunday 27 March.

The route, which serves Newcastle, Gateshead, Wrekenton, Springwell Village, Washington, Shiney Row, Houghton-le-Spring, Hetton-le-Hole and Easington Lane, with some journeys extending to Dalton Park or Peterlee, will run as follows:

  • Mondays to Saturdays – up to every 12 minutes during the day, and up to every 30 minutes late into the evening
  • Sundays – up to every 20 minutes during the day, and hourly late into the evening

The service will extend from Easington Lane through to Peterlee via South Hetton up to twice per hour, and continue to extend to Dalton Park up to once per hour.
