The current bus stops at Market Place, Chapter Row, Keppel Street and Denmark Centre will be closed. This means the route buses take in South Shields will change, along with the stops which are served.

Yutong electric buses confirmed for Go North East

This World Environment Day, ​following the announcement of a successful bid to the Government’s Ultra Low Emission Bus Fund to support the purchase of electric buses, the North East’s largest bus operator, Go North East, has confirmed an order for nine E10 latest generation full electric buses with the world’s largest electric bus manufacturer, Yutong.

​Achieving his 50-year milestone at Go North East, stores supervisor Ian McPherson from Dunston received a standing ovation after his achievements, and those of his long-standing peers, were celebrated at the region's biggest bus company's 69th annual Long Service Awards.
